Terms and conditions

These terms apply when you use the Ekhtemha app or website. By creating an account or using Ekhtemha, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Ekhtemha.

1. What Ekhtemha is

Ekhtemha is a loyalty platform. Coffee shops use it to give customers stamps and rewards, and customers use it to collect stamps and redeem rewards. Ekhtemha provides the technology. The coffee shops run their own programs.

2. Your account

  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your phone, your sign-in codes and your passwords private.
  • One person, one account. Do not use another person’s account.
  • Tell us if you think someone else is using your account.

3. For customers

  • Ekhtemha is free for customers.
  • Stamps and rewards belong to the coffee shop’s program. They have no cash value, cannot be sold or transferred, and are not money.
  • Each coffee shop decides its own reward, the number of stamps needed, and any discounts. Rewards do not expire. The shop is responsible for honoring the rewards it offers. We are not a party to your purchase from a shop.
  • A shop may correct or undo a stamp that was given by mistake.

4. For coffeeshops

  • Your program. You set your rewards and discounts and you must honor the rewards your customers earn.
  • Your staff. You are responsible for the staff accounts you create and for what they do in the app. Remove accounts of people who no longer work for you.
  • Price. The price of the program is agreed with you before you start. If we change prices for new shops, the price you agreed does not change for the period you agreed to.
  • Your content. You confirm you have the right to use your shop name and logo, and that they do not break anyone’s rights.
  • Customer data. Use customer information you see in the app only to run your loyalty program, and not for anything else.

5. Rules of use

You agree not to:

  • give or collect stamps that were not earned, or use fake, copied or screenshot codes;
  • try to get around the limits or the security of the service;
  • use Ekhtemha for anything unlawful, or to harass or deceive people;
  • interfere with the service, or try to access data that is not yours;
  • copy, resell or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.

We may remove stamps, rewards or accounts that break these rules.

6. The service

  • We work to keep Ekhtemha available, but we do not promise it will always work without interruption or errors.
  • We may add, change or remove features, including features marked “coming soon”, which are not promised until they are released.
  • We may update the app and may need you to install updates to keep using it.

7. Liability

Ekhtemha is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from a coffee shop not honoring a reward, from your phone or network, from interruptions of the service, or for indirect losses such as lost profit. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

8. Ending your account

  • You can stop using Ekhtemha at any time. Customers can delete their account in the app, in Profile, or follow the steps on the support page.
  • Coffeeshops can stop at any time by writing to us. Staff accounts can be removed by the shop owner.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.
  • When an account is deleted, what we do with its data is described in the privacy policy.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon. Disputes are for the competent courts in Lebanon, unless the law of your country gives you other rights.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top, and if the change is important we tell you in the app. If you keep using Ekhtemha after a change, you accept the new terms.
